MARCH 8TH 2021
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
It's an opportunity to celebrate the women who have paved the way towards our progress, yet at the same time, it is a reminder of the inequality that plagues society.
We must continue to support our leaders, innovators, and risk-takers for thinking forward and expanding the possibilities for women around the globe.
International Women’s Day has occurred for well over a century, with the first gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.
Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.
