All I heard was......

Wah Wah Wah

APRIL 17TH - CELEBRATE WITH A BLAH, WHA. BLAB OR YADA

Have you ever been in that situation when someone is speaking to you and all you can hear is “blah, blah, blah.”  You just watch their mouth keep moving but your thoughts are elsewhere - in a better, more exciting place!

Blah, is just one of many words, in many languages, used to denote meaningless or worthless chatter and who can be bothered to listen, when after all it’s all just futile noise?

Blah is a word also used where the specifics are not considered important to the speaker or writer.

There so many expressions that all have the same function and often come in threes, for example; "Yada yada yada" and "blab blab blab", the latter where it potentially may have evolved from.

Blab can mean to reveal, 'don't blab', or it can mean make noises, talk pointlessly and meaninglessly, as in blabber.

Blah Blah Blah may also be used to imply something is not impressive, or it is boring, bland, or without character.

There are several other alternatives or variants of the word which are used today, such as bleh, blech, bla, meh or bah, although some differences may be perceived in certain contexts.

But everyone recognises Blah Blah Blah and Blah Blah Blah Day is all about listening to those noises, yet recognising people are speaking to you instead of ignoring them!

The aim of the day is to appreciate the pleasure of casual conversation. It is about listening to those niggling if not nagging words no matter how bland or repetitive they are and putting them to action.

Do the things you wouldn’t normally do and put an end to all those things you’ have been putting off.

Remember listen and look like you’re interested, even if it is a load of BLAH BLAH BLAH....
